Cycling is booming. This was evident at the trade event for two-wheelers Velovak 2022 held at Evenementenhal Gorinchem on 18, 19 and 20 September. For three days, the two-wheeler professionals could indulge themselves, learn about unexpected innovations, get an overview of the latest models and test them themselves on the integrated course. The B2B event was attended by nearly 2,200 professionals. Exhibitors were so satisfied that almost 30 companies have already booked for the September 2023 edition.
But of course Team Velovak remains committed to a quality B2B platform targeting the retailers of the Netherlands and Belgium as in previous years.”
Action enough
With the Werkplaats, Sport Café de Demarrage and Velovak Academy, Velovak 2022 offered a wide range of activities. Sessions in Dutch on differentiating the company, shop fitting and the bikefitting sessions were particularly popular. Technical training sessions in The Werkplaats were provided by Bafang, MAGURA, Campagnolo & ICC and Landport & Doleweerd.
Mascha de Bruin: “On the exhibition floor, we combined exhibitors’ hardware with sessions on entrepreneurship. We also presented a renewed offer with training sessions for the sports segment. From bikefitting, nutrition and training by Cyclinglab/JOIN in cooperation with Jim van den Berg to sessions on the added value of micro and macro adventures by Sander Kolsloot. The product/knowledge combination went down well. Appearance and atmosphere were appreciated by exhibitors and visitors anyway. We managed to touch the right nerve.”
Velovak was also the stage for the festive final of the Two-wheeler Shop of the Year election by Dutch trade magazine Tweewieler. The final took place live on the exhibition floor with Velodroom as the big winner. Also winning were Fietsenmakerij Jasper, Bike Totaal de Jong and Atlas Fietsen.
