GORINCHEM – This the fourth edition of the trade fair Vélovak will take place in Evenementenhal Gorinchem, The Netherlands in the end of September. Instead of being the Benelux trade event for the cycling industry, Vélovak will continue as the Benelux trade event for the two-wheeler industry. This also includes a new branding introduced by the organisation.
Event Manager Mascha de Bruin van Vélovak explains this change: “It is a logical step after Vélovak welcoming e-scooters and e-kick scooters to the platform. For the upcoming edition, we have therefore reserved a space on the floor plan for the scooter and e-mobility segment. The pay-off ‘The Benelux trade event for the cycling industry’ didn’t cover the full range of product that the exhibitors at Vélovak offer, that is why we have developed it just like the concept of the trade fair to ‘The Benelux trade event for the two-wheeler industry’.”
Besides changing the pay-off, also the images of the branding have been changed. Gerard van Muijden, Marketing Coordinator says the following: “After two editions with great growth as a result, it was time for something new and fresh. Something fresh that explains better what Vélovak stands for. Now we have selected a modern image for each segment of the fair that is even more self-explanatory and fits the look of Vélovak. In the past period, we visited several two-wheeler shops to test our new branding and pay-off. The reactions were positive and enthusiastic and we came to this results together with them.”

Vélovak’s branding was characterised in particular by its recognisable yellow and black colours. Those colours still dominate, but more fresh white has now been added to the overall picture. “The new visual identity and thus the look of Vélovak took some time. This was deliberately done because we strive for a branding that represents all different segments. All visitors and exhibitors must recognise themselves in the refreshed branding. We are pleased that the initial reactions have been so positive and that the branding has been embraced. On to a fantastic 2020 edition in September”, said De Bruin.
