Team Vélovak asked brand builders from marketing agency MM Martijn Muller and Martin Klomp, speakers at the Tweewieler Knowledge Theater during Vélovak 2021, for the marketing tip they would like to share with the two-wheeler industry.
“It seems such a simple sentence: ‘be yourself’. When it comes to marketing, it turns out time and again that it is not that simple. How often is the difference between the outlined picture and daily reality frighteningly large? While, according to us, that is where the power should lie. Communicating who you really are, every day. Without tricks.”
We see plenty of tricks every day. From ‘very accessible’ companies that can only be reached by telephone via a menu with ten options. To the ‘personal’ service provider where you have a different contact on the line every month… Is it so difficult to ‘be yourself’? We at MM do not think so! Making a good start is very important. You then have to keep putting in the effort.
That good start starts with a clear view on who you are. How do your employees see your company and how do your customers see you? At MM, we have developed the ‘Power-Customer Opportunity’ model for this. Through this model we bring out your DNA and create a communication yardstick, along which you can place all your expressions.
Communicating who you really are every day sounds like a grand project, but actually it is the simplest thing you can do!
Are you curious about our approach and how you can apply it in practice? If so, come to our practical knowledge session on Sunday 19 September at the Tweewieler Kennistheater. During this session we will discuss practical examples and we will elaborate on the ‘Power-Customer Opportunity’ model. On our website you can also find more information about our company and read some customer cases.
